To set the mood

1. Agent Joni English. Comedy about superspy Joni English. Subtle humor, dynamic plot, every minute of the film lifts your spirits. I especially like the second part about Macau and Hong Kong, jokes about the provinces of China.
2. Forrest Gump. About a guy who never gives up. He fully realized his initially low intelligence by becoming an outstanding athlete, war hero, millionaire and father.
3. Robinson on the Moon. A good Korean film about how to survive on a desert island in the center of Seoul when you don’t really want to live.

Captivating storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat

1. Shutter Island. The acting, the atmosphere, the unexpected ending of the film.
2. Illusion of deception. An exciting film about magicians and illusionists. I especially like the footage from the film with one of the fashionable hotels in Macau, which we saw very often when we came to Macau.
3. Farsi lessons. A seemingly dramatic film about survival in a Nazi concentration camp during World War II, it is not without irony and a sense of humor. It's a breeze to watch, with a great ending.
4. Search. Detective thriller. Not the usual film format, which involves a lot of correspondence in instant messengers. An interesting film, without scenes of violence.
5. Start. An interesting idea, special effects and a deep meaning of the film about the birth of ideas.
6. Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr.
7. 12 angry men. A black and white film with a small budget, essentially shot in one room. This is an Oscar nominated masterpiece. Carefully thought out dialogues, reasoning of the characters. The original is not comparable to the Russian variation.
8. Catch Me If You Can. Leonardo DiCaprio as a capable master of deception and fraud, interesting plot, excellent cast.
9. TV series “Mouse”

The camera work, angle and color are amazing

1. Hotel Grand Budapest. In this film, I was not so impressed by the plot as I was captivated by the masterful work of the cameramen, each frame was carefully thought out and balanced.
2. The Great Gatsby. Beautiful heartbreaking film, music.
