How to choose a wedding photographer?

You have decided to take an important and joyful step - to register your marriage. Emotions are overwhelming. There are so many pleasant chores ahead. Finding a good photographer is also on your to-do list. 

Lately, some newlyweds have decided to save on a banquet, a limousine and other attributes of luxury, but they must invite a photographer. Why? Yes, because photos and videos will warm the soul many times over, rewrite memories several times, and in the future children will look with admiration at how young and beautiful mom and dad were on their wedding day.

So how do you choose a photographer to avoid further disappointment? 

The first thing is important to understand. Photos from your wedding will look like the photographer sees it. Over time, your personal memory may begin to fail and memories will gradually begin to be overwritten. Therefore, it is very important that the photographer is involved in what is happening and notices joyful moments. 

1. Portfolio. Look carefully at the work of the proposed photographer, imagine that you are in the place of these people from the frame. Would you be satisfied with the final result?
2. Make sure the portfolio actually belongs to your photographer. It often happens that novice photographers come to shoot with a professional and take a couple of shots for themselves and then use them in their portfolio. And although he practically took this shot, it is possible that the location, light, pose and image were selected by another photographer. And this is one of the most difficult parts of this profession. Therefore, if any shots raise doubts, ask the photographer in more detail about this shooting.
3. Colors. Some photographers like to overuse color correction. If you don't want your snow-white dress to look creamy. And red lipstick is orange. Then you should give preference to photographers with natural processing, so that there is no color distortion in your photos. If you wish, you can always add filters yourself

1. Light arrangement. Perhaps now I’ll tell you the secret of why photographers use so much color correction. And the reason is simple - some people don’t know how to work with light, don’t understand its nature, and in post-processing, in order to somehow save the frame, they add color. But a good photographer knows how to master the physics of light in any conditions. He knows how not to burn a photograph on a bright sunny day, and will be able to add shine to a cloudy one. He will never take photographs with a flash head-on, so that only you and a black background remain in the photo, or he converts all the photos to black and white without leaving you with a color frame.

1. Organized. A good photographer knows how to organize people for the overall shot. He will not be shy and stand on the sidelines. And he will quickly and at the right moment arrange guests for photos.
2. Tact. At the same time, the photographer is clearly not the most important guest at this event, so he will not attract too much attention to himself
3. Situated. A cheerful person evokes positive emotions and a smile in people, and if the photographer is just such a person, then you will have a lot of positive shots.
4. Beginner or professional? Of course it's up to you. But from personal teaching experience, most beginners make a lot of mistakes during their first filming and sometimes they themselves get upset when they see the results. And this is absolutely normal - they are just learning. If you are not ready to make your wedding the subject of a beginner's training, then it is better to turn to a pro. By the way, it’s better to start booking a shoot with them in advance.
