How to get to Sile. Restaurants in Sile

Şile is a Greek fishing village that has become part of the modern metropolis - Istanbul. This place is famous for its beaches with majestic cliffs. By the way, for a photo shoot or filming a video, this is an excellent place where there are no crowds of vacationers and there are many both paid and wild beaches. Especially in the winter season there are not many people there. The weather is as comfortable as early autumn in Russia. The beaches are quite clean. By the time we arrived in this area, we had already visited all the main beaches of Istanbul, including the Princes’ Islands, and nowhere were we able to see such deserted beaches.

It seems to me that this place is ideal for having picnics, lighting fires and eating fish cooked on coals in local restaurants. Trying fish in a restaurant was our number one priority. As soon as we arrived at the place, the first feeling was that here in Sila everything is arranged exactly the same as in any district of Istanbul. The same familiar stores Bim, Migros, Carfur and others. Next we headed to the central beach, which overlooks the castle. The central beach, in my understanding, is a long coastline with crowds of people. However, here the entire beach is what you can watch on video via the link in the video.

In winter, the city's restaurants are half empty, with almost no visitors. Let us tell you a life hack - the best restaurants with the most beautiful views are located on the mountain near the lighthouse. But before we got there, we stopped in a very beautiful place. There we were met by a stern red cat - the leader of the gang. An attempt to pet him resulted in cuts on Ivan’s hand. They bring us a fish dish. And now we are trapped. All you had to do was turn away and that’s when it began. Watch our new video on YouTube channel.

After we fed the gang for a couple of hundred lire, we went to look at the lighthouse. You know, it’s so soulful to drink a hot cappuccino with dessert, listen to the sound of the sea beating against the rocks, and watch the incessant waves from above. This atmosphere gives peace of mind. And then it lit up - a beacon! To be honest, until now I have only seen toy lighthouses. It turned out to be the second largest lighthouse among the lighthouses still in use in the world and the first in Turkey. I used to think that the lighthouse only emits one beam. And here are several of them. Look at this swimsuit, the design of the lenses is very unusual. Around it along the circumference there are round lenses, a lens within a lens (like nesting dolls). This produces bright rays with a distance of up to 20 miles, which equates to approximately 36 km. We will definitely come back here again in the summer of 2023 and take a walk along Agva beach.
